Kevin Mangum led organizations most executives will never approach — and the leadership principles he forged in those environments translate directly to the high-stakes decisions PE firms and portfolio companies face every day. A retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General with 35 years of service, Kevin commanded the elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and led the aviation force during the first ground combat operation of the Global War on Terrorism into Afghanistan in October 2001.

As Deputy Commanding General and Chief of Staff of U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Kevin was responsible for orchestrating all activities across 50,000 military and civilian personnel at 1,600 operating locations with an $8 billion budget. After retiring from the Army, he joined Lockheed Martin as VP of Army Programs in their Rotary and Mission Systems division, applying senior military leadership experience inside one of the world's most complex defense and technology organizations.

At Teamalytics, Kevin works at the intersection of private equity and executive leadership — advising firms on succession challenges, managing the interpersonal dynamics between PE firms and their portfolio management teams, and helping executive teams develop the alignment needed to execute against growth targets. He also serves on the board of Sentient Science Corporation and as a member of the Army Advisory Council at the Mitre Corporation. His ability to operate across organizational boundaries and build trust quickly in high-pressure environments makes him a singular resource in the PE space.

Kevin and his wife, Angel, live in Alexandria, Virginia.
